About a year and a half ago I decided to devote more time to my art. The goal was to "get serious", start trying to produce work that fit into a series, refine my skills, show my work, etc. It has been both an exhilarating and frustrating journey. Sometimes I can stay in my studio for hours and other times I have to hide a piece that's in progress to keep from eating it for lunch. So far, I have found that my growth as an artist depends largely on movement. A dead end is simply an opportunity to go in a new direction or explore a different idea, perhaps leaving the old for good or coming back to it with fresh eyes. This blog is designed to show my movement as an artist.
